What we are
Yellowhammer Trader is an Alabama-focused online classifieds board where private citizens and licensed dealers buy, sell, and trade firearms, ammunition, gear, and hunting land. We serve as a listing platform only — we never handle money, guns, or shipping. Every transaction happens directly between the buyer and the seller, face to face or through a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL).
Why Alabama?
We built Yellowhammer Trader for one simple reason: the state already has a strong outdoor community, but no single, trustworthy place to trade. We keep the scope tightly Alabama so listings stay relevant, local, and legal under both state and federal law.
Compliance first
Firearm transactions are regulated, and we take that seriously. Private parties may trade within Alabama as the law allows. Licensed dealers are required to hold an active Federal Firearms License, which we verify before they are approved to list. How we make money
Yellowhammer Trader stays free to list and free to browse. Revenue comes from optional membership upgrades (verified, supporter, and dealer tiers), listing boosts, and advertising space. We do not take a cut of any sale, and we never act as an intermediary in a transaction.
