Hunting Land — Leases
Alabama hunting-lease listings — access rights only, never land sales. Yellowhammer Trader helps a landowner and a hunter find each other; you negotiate and sign your own written lease directly, and payment always happens off-platform between the two of you.
How this works
Alabama's Landowners' Protection Act (Ala. Code § 35-15-40) shields a landowner who leases property for hunting or fishing from liability for injuries on that land, with narrow exceptions. It's the reason this section exists — and the reason it's scoped to leases, not sales. Every practical guide still says: get the lease in writing.
The platform is never a party to, broker of, or payment-handler for any lease. If you're looking to sell land, this isn't the place — that runs into Alabama's real-estate broker licensing law.
